Eagle Creek Dogs Died for no reason

The   man   in   Eagle  Creek   who  killed  his   dogs   because  he   could  not   care  for   them,   didn’t  know  there   was   help  out  there.    He   didn’t  know  he   could   get   free  dog   food.    Please   help   prevent   this   from   happening   again   by    sharing    our   information   with   those   in  need,   donating  on  line   or  sharing   food  at  one  of  our   drop  off   locations.

10 Year Olds Birthday Goes To The Cats

birthday giftsWhen 9 almost 10 year old  Riley read in the paper that FIDO, Friends Involved in Dog Outreach was have trouble getting enough cat food for it’s AniMeals program she knew what she wanted for her birthday. Cat Food, instead of presents for herself, she asked her guests to bring cat food.

When she delivered over 100 pounds of cat Food to FIDO, many of the bags were decorated with bows and ribbons.

In cooperation with Meals on Wheels the AniMeals program provides dog and cat food to home bound seniors. The program was started when it was found that seniors were sharing their food with their pets.

FIDO receives Banfield Charitable Trust Grant

Friends  Involved in Dog  Outreach has  received  a  $3000  Grant   from the Banfield  Charitable  Trust  to  help

FIDO Dog Food Bank

provide  pet food for  the FIDO  Dog Food  Bank  Program.

The  FIDO  Dog Food  Bank is  open  the  third Saturday  of  each  month,  providing  dog food  to  low  income  households.    Without  the  help  of the  Dog Food  Bank,  many  of  these  people  would  not  be  able  to

 

feed  their   pets  and   would  be  force
to  surrender  them  to  shelters  and  rescue  groups.

Rabies and Microchip Clinic March 31st

FIDO, Friends Involved in Dog Outreach will be holding a low cost Rabies and Microchip Clinic  on Saturday March 31st  from  11am-3pm.  The clinic  will be outside Kmart,  in the Berry Hill Shopping  Mall,  at  19003 Beaver Creek Rd.

These clinic are held in a effort to assist in licensing dogs in Clackamas County.  All dogs are required to have a current rabies vaccine before licensing,  and microchipped dogs receive  a $5 per year discount on dog licenses.

It is important to vaccinate, microchip,  and license your dog for its own to keep it safe and help a lost dog get returned to you quickly.

FIDO  will be offering  $10  rabies shot and  $30 Microchips,  both for $35.  All dogs must be leashed  and well behaved,  cats… Continue reading
