The Humane Society of Berks County receives thousands of pounds of donated food every year. Much of that food is distributed to the elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged in the Tri-County area through our innovative Ani-Meals on Wheels program, but literally tons of food are left over. Several times each year, the HSBC distributes food to the public at our adoption centers and at other locations in Berks and Montgomery counties. This video highlights the 2009 Holiday food distributions in Pottstown at the Cluster Outreach Center and in Reading at the HSBC’s Lindy Scholar Center.
