Welcome to FIDO’s  new  website.  We  will be adding to the site over the next few months,  so share you ideas and thought with us.

December  was a busy month for FIDO.  Thank you to Milner Veterinary Clinic for  hosting our Santa Paws  Event,  lots of pets got a chance to meet Santa Paws,  and have their picture taken with him.

Special thanks to Key Bank , God Father’s  Pizza,  and Banfield   for their efforts in hosting pet food drives ,  in  December.

F.I.D.O. has a new Home!

That’s right, we have moved into a new location in Oregon City and we are all settled in and ready for action!  We are now located at 2100 Kaen Rd.

Do you like to meet new people, while helping the community and getting “puppy kisses”? Then you are just who we need.

Friends involved in Dog Outreach (F.I.D.O.) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, founded in June 2004 by the citizens and business people of Clackamas County, Oregon, who wanted to help ensure a bright future for all dogs in the county by operating the Dog Food Bank and AniMeals as well as supporting the work of Clackamas County Dog Services..

Currently we hand out 4,000 to 5,000 Lbs of dry dog food every month. Your Help Is Always Needed, Every Bag Helps.

In March of 2005 we added our AniMeals program.

HSI Canada, in partnership with the provincial government and local law enforcement, rescued more than 500 dogs and puppies from a large-scale commercial breeding facility in Québec. The animals were seized and removed after multiple investigations indicated the dogs were not receiving proper care. “By far, this was the largest commercial breeding facility, involving some of the most inhumane conditions, that our Animal Rescue Team has ever encountered in Canada,” said Lauren Scott, campaigner for Humane Society International/Canada. “Hundreds of dogs were denied their most basic needs and proper care and lacked adequate socialization.” Visit us at www.hsi.org

www.epsomcaninerescue.co.uk Epsom Canine Rescue was formed in 1995 to specialise in unwanted and subsequently neglected dogs within the local vicinity of Epsom. More recently we have also started to assist in helping rehome Welsh pound dogs whose plight is dire. Our principle role is the rescue and re-homing of unwanted and stray canines, undertaking veterinary treatment if necessary and neutering where possible prior to sourcing a suitable new home. Any animals in distress that we are unable to deal with directly due to our limited size and resources are referred immediately to other specialist organisations. All potential new homes are checked thoroughly before the dog is released into their care and subsequent follow-up calls are made to ensure that the animal settles and to eliminate any problems that may arise. We encourage the use of experienced foster homes during the re-homing process especially with either very young or very old charges, and try to use boarding kennels as a last resort. All our activities are carried out on a purely voluntary basis and financed solely by self generated funds and your contributions, monetary or otherwise. Our dogs are homed as family pets, most having had a bad start in life and we do not place any dogs in a home where they would be living outside or left alone for long periods of time.
