There are  lots of ways that you can get involved in helping to improve the lives of dogs in need.   Share your special skills,  and love of animals  in many ways.   No special skills,  that’s okay  we’d still love to have you join us in “Making Pawsitive Changes,  One Paw At A Time”.

Volunteer Application

 

If  you are part of an organization that would like to volunteer as a group,  please call us to schedule a time.  Contact Linda Cloud at 971-678-6940.  Each member of your group will need to sign a release form.  You can download the release forms here.

Volunteers are needed in many areas,  these are just a few of the ways you can help :

Packaging Food

Each week volunteers gather at the FIDO  Warehouse to package food in preparation  for AniMeal deliveries and the monthly Dog Food Bank.  No special skills required  just a big heart and a desire to help.

Dog Food Bank Volunteers

The 3rd  Saturday of each month  volunteers process and fill requests for food,  helping people to feed their dogs,  keeping them in loving homes and out of the shelters.

Donation Route Driver

Route Drivers pick up the food from the donation barrels located around the city.  Each volunteer is assigned a route,  normally near their home or work.

Outreach Volunteers

Organizing silly dog contests,  selling raffle tickets,  collecting pet food,  or just letting people know more about FIDO,  there is always something to do at a FIDO Event.  If that sound a little to much,  Outreach Volunteers are also needed to staff booths at Farmers Markets,  bazars,  and in stores.

Newsletter

Do you like to write? Show your support of animals by writing an article for the FIDO Newsletter.

Fundraising/Food Drives

Organize a Fundraiser or Pet Food Drive through your business, organization,  or school.

Special Projects

Work on the Fall for FIDO Auction,  at one of our vaccination/microchip  clinics,  or other special projects that FIDO sponsors.
